The house is set in gardens laid out in 1895, and some of the original planting is still there. The garden is open to the public under the National Garden Scheme, and by appointment. [more on the gardens|]

National Garden Scheme

The NGS raises money for charity by arranging for gardens to be open to the public. It has been running for over 80 years, and includes 3,500 gardens, most privately owned, which are visited by over 750,000 people a year. More on the NGS|
