Kent Fire & Rescue Service are looking to recruit a Financial Systems Manager to take a leading role in defining, implementing and maintaining their financial systems.
Primarily you will manage the ongoing development of these systems from specification of new functionality, through to configuration and testing. You will need to draw on your technical expertise to develop interfaces with other systems and to deliver solutions to progress e-business initiatives such as enabling xml transmission of invoices.
Reporting to the Financial Services Manager you will use a variety of report writing and data extraction tools such as SQL to provide a wide range of financial management information.
This position will demand excellent communication and time management skills to drive forward system changes to a large number of end users, and to develop training courses and operator documentation. Liaison with the software providers will be an essential part of the role in troubleshooting and resolving system irregularities.
You will need to hold a recognised accounting qualification, and have significant previous experience in systems administration and maintenance.
