Introduction to our Integrated Risk Management Plans

The Government asks every Fire and Rescue Authority to produce a document called an Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP). The aim of the plan is to focus on risk to life and make sure we use our resources effectively to deal with them.
In 2005 the Government agreed that we could produce an IRMP that covered a rolling 3 year period. This allows us to undertake a more wide-ranging and complex review of activities, which can often take longer than one year to complete. It has also allowed us to bring the plan together with our 3 year plans related to finance and asset management. We are committed to updating the community on the progress we have made, and consulting on the changes that we are proposing.

You can also view the agreed Integrated Risk Management Plan 2008/09|, which focuses on how the Authority will improve the service by making the best use of resources by investing in training and equipment.
