Introduction

In Kent Fire & Rescue Service we need to understand the needs of people from all communities. This is very important if we are to deliver services which meet their different needs in the best way possible. One of the key ways of doing this is through a process called “people  impact and needs assessment.”

A people impact and needs assessment is done by reviewing our services very carefully. This type of review will normally involve representatives from different sections of the community. Gaps, disadvantages and specific needs can be identified in this way. We can then modify the delivery of our services to address any areas that need adjustment.

Over the next three years we aim to undertake an impact assessment of all our relevant activities. You can look at our timetable for this, and view the assessments we have completed so far.
