We are currently asking what you think of our proposals for improving the services we provide the community.

We would like to know what you think of our ideas on:
• What a fire station may look like in the future
• Proposals to increase water rescue training
• How we could improve the safety messages we give to the community
• How we could reduce our ‘environmental footprint’
• Where we should set the council tax for the coming year.

More information about these proposals can be found in our Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP) for 2009/10.|

To have your say please complete a questionnaire. Questionnaires are slightly different depending on whether you are a member of staff, public or responding on behalf of a business or community group. We suggest you read the plan before answering the questionnaire although we have provided a summary before each section.

Complete the public version of the questionnaire|
Complete the staff version of the questionnaire|
Complete the business/community group version of the questionnaire|

Please note – printed copies of the plan and questionnaire can be provided on request. Please see the IRMP web-pages| for more information.

Consultation will close at 5pm on 12 January 2009.

How we use your views

Consulting with our staff and the community we service plays an important role in how we make decisions. We use feedback we receive from these exercises to help inform a number of things such as what service changes we make, developing public safety campaigns or staff training courses etc.

It is important to remember that consultation feedback is not the only thing we use to help make our decisions. We also use a number of different research tools along with our professional judgement.

Register to participate in future consultation.
