With almost 2000 staff across 70 sites, Kent Fire and Rescue is the biggest fire service in the country. We are looking for an outstanding Online Communications Manager to manage our website and intranet so that firefighters and the public alike are kept up to date with regular, reliable information about our work.
You will be responsible for leading our online communications strategy, for managing an intuitive, accessible intranet which meets the needs of our staff, and for overseeing the technical development of a visually attractive, user-centred website for the Service. In addition to online communications, you will oversee the Service’s AV, print and design functions, leading a team of three and reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing.
You will have proven project and web management ability, experience of managing third-party suppliers, the capacity to work well within a team and with senior managers, and strong knowledge of technical issues, information architecture and navigation. You would also have good understanding of usability and accessibility issues and knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
