Accounts Panel

To consider and approve the Authority's Statement of Accounts in accordance with the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2003.

*The Panel will consider the Authority's statement of Accounts, taking into consideration any of the External Auditor's comments if relevant.  Subject to being satisfied with the presentation of the accounts and the transfer of any variance to or from reserves, the Panel will approve the Statement of Accounts, on behalf of the Authority.
 
With effect from 9 June 2005 the Panel will consist of eight Members (five Conservatives, two Labour and one Liberal Democrat).  The Chairman will be elected by Members of the Panel and will be required to sign and date the Statement of Accounts to formally represent the completion of the Authority's approval process of the Accounts
