Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Sections 14 and 15 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2003:-
From 16 May 2008 to 14 June 2008, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, Mondays to Fridays, any person interested, on application to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services at
The Kent and Medway Fire & Rescue Authority Headquarters,
Straw Mill Hill
Tovil,
Maidstone,
Kent ME15 6XB,
may inspect and make copies of the accounts of the above named authority for the year ended 31 March 2008, and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, and receipts relating thereto.
On the 25 June 2008, between 10am and 4pm the external auditor,
Darren Wells of the Audit Commission,
First Floor,
16 South Park,
Sevenoaks,
Kent TN13 1AN,
at the request of any local government elector for the area to which the accounts relate, will give the elector or his/her representative an opportunity to question him about the Accounts, and any such elector or his/her representative may attend before the auditor at The Kent and Medway Fire & Rescue Authority Headquarters, Straw Mill Hill, Tovil Maidstone ME15 6XB and make any objection to any of the Accounts.
Any objections should be made to the external auditor in writing before the appointed day on the 25 June.
