Question
Do you check schools, academies, colleges or universities for fire safety - especially escape plans?
Answer
No. All schools in Kent (with the exception of a few private schools) are regulated by Kent County Council or Medway Council, who employ their own risk assessment company to carry out such checks.

Colleges and universities often have their own staff who are trained to do their own fire risk assessments.

Academies usually employ similar companies to make sure they are compliant with fire safety legislation.
