Question
Should I wait for the Fire Safety Officer to visit and identify any remedial action after I have carried out my fire risk assessment?
Answer
No. It is your responsibility to comply with the Fire Safety Order. You will need to prepare a fire risk assessment and emergency plan.

If any of the following condition apply to your premises:

* you are an employer with five or more employees
* a licence under an enactment is in force, or
* an Alterations Notice under the Fire Safety Order requires it.

…then the findings of the risk assessment must be recorded.
