LPI 101 - Deliberate fire calls attended per 10,000 population
In 2016/17, we attended 1,954 fires which we believe were started deliberately. A 6.1% increase on the previous year.
Over the three financial years from 2014/2015 to 2016/2017 there was an average of 10.2 deliberate fires per 10,000 population, we have set a target to reduce this rate by 10% over the next three years.

Our past performance is also compared against the average (grey bars) and top 25% performance of all 46 fire and rescue authorities in England (yellow line) as well as against a group of 15 fire and rescue authorities in England which are very similar to us according to the CIPFA nearest neighbour model (blue line). Projections updated to include 2015/16 performance.
