LPI 103 - Fires in non-domestic properties

In 2016/17, we attended 319 fires in non-domestic properties. This equates to 5 fires per 1,000 non-domestic properties which was higher than the previous year.

Non-domestic properties include residential properties other than dwellings (e.g. hotels, B&B or residential homes) as well as non-residential properties such as offices, retail and industrial establishments, warehouses, hospitals, religious venues and public buildings.

Over the three years from 2014/15 to 2016/17 there were an average of 5.4 fires per 1,000 non-domestic properties, we have set a target to reduce this rate by 12.5% over the next three years (2015-18).
