LPI 112 – Number of road traffic collisions (excluding no action) per 10,000 population

LPI 112 – Number of road traffic collisions (excluding no action) per 10,000 population

In 2016/17, we attended 1,090 road traffic collisions (excluding no action). This equates to 6.2 road traffic collisions per 10,000 population which was higher than the previous year.

We only attend about one quarter of all road traffic collisions; this indicator measures the number of road traffic collisions we attend. We do not set a target for this indicator, as we think it is more important to measure the outcome, that is the number of people killed or seriously injured (LPI 136).

This chart shows our performance over the last four years (dark blue bars). We have not set a target for this indicator. Comparative performance with other fire authorities is not possible because this data is unavailable.
