LPI 128 - Accidental fire calls attended per 10,000 population
In 2016/17, we attended 2,531fires which we did not believe were started deliberately. This was 81 more than in the previous year.
Over the three financial years from April 2014 to March 2017 there were an average of 13.8 accidental fires per 10,000 population, we have set a target to reduce this rate by 14% over the next three years (2015-18).

Our past performance is also compared against the average (grey bars) and top 25% performance of all 46 fire and rescue authorities in England (yellow line) as well as against a group of 15 fire and rescue authorities in England which are very similar to us according to the CIPFA nearest neighbour model (blue line).
