The earlier advice for people in High Halden, Ashford, to close windows and doors due to smoke, is no longer in place.

Firefighters have made good progress, and the incident, which involves several agricultural storage units, has been reduced to two fire engines and crews will leave the scene shortly.

There are no reported injuries, and the cause is not yet known.

People living in High Halden, Ashford, are advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from agricultural barn fire in Plurenden Lane.

Six fire engines, a bulk water carrier, an all-terrain vehicle, and a command support unit are at the scene. Crews wearing breathing apparatus are using main jets to bring the fire under control.
