Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a waste vehicle alight in Tithe Barn Lane, in Great Chart, Ashford.
Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and compressed air foam to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported and the cause is not yet known.
