Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a lorry alight on the A2 Dover Road, near Barham, Canterbury.
Three fire engines were sent to the scene on the coast-bound carriageway, as well as a bulk water carrier. Crews wore breathing apparatus while using compressed air foam and hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
No casualties were reported and the cause is believed to be accidental.
