Firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle alight in Central Parade, Herne Bay. Due to the proximity of other parked vehicles the fire quickly spread to four others.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames using a high-pressure hose reel jet. Unfortunately the first vehicle was destroyed by the fire, with the remainder suffering heavy to moderate damage.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire has not been established.
