Final update at 6.35pm on 21 July 2025: 

People living, working or travelling near Chestfield, Whitstable, are no longer advised to keep windows and doors closed, following a vehicle fire. 

Four fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended the scene at John Wilson Business Park on Harvey Drive, where crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using main jets and compressed air foam. 

No injuries have been reported, and the cause is not yet known.

People living or travelling near Chestfield, Whitstable, are being advised to close their windows and doors due to smoke coming from a vehicle fire in John Wilson Business Park on Harvey Drive.

Three fire engines are currently in attendance and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, are using main jets and Compressed Air Foam Systems to extinguish the fire.
