Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a van alight on the A2 coast-bound, in-between junctions for Bean and the Darenth Interchange.
Two fire engines attended and crews wore breathing apparatus while using hose reel jets and compressed air foam to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported and it’s believed the fire started accidentally.
