Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a vehicle fire on the A2 London-bound at section 3 near Bean, Dartford.
Two fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
There are no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
