Update at 07:55am on 06 August:

Crews assisting National Highways to recover HGV following a fire on Jubilee Way, in Dover have confirmed the lorry has now been recovered.

Both lanes are now open. Incident has been handed over to National Highways.

Update at 8.45pm on 05 August:

Kent Fire and Rescue Services remained at scenes to monitor HGV due to fuel remaining in tank.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used specialist kit to remove the remaining fuel from the tank, working alongside National Highways to recover the lorry from lane one of the northbound carriageway.

Ventilation is now complete, and crews continue to monitor the removal of the HGV.

The road will remain closed while recovery is carried out.

The cause of the fire isn't known at this stage.

Update at 7:40pm on 04 August:

A fire involving an HGV on the Jubilee Way in Dover is now out. One lane is now open.

Firefighters gave first aid to one person who had small cut on hand, the cause is not yet known.

Kent Police also attended to assist with lane closures and duty of care was left with the Highways Agency. 

Initial update:

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is responding to a fire involving a HGV on the Jubilee Way (A2) towards Duke of York's roundabout in Dover.

Four fire engines are in attendance and crews wearing breathing apparatus are using compressed air foam to extinguish the flames. 

No injuries have been reported and the road has been closed while firefighters work at the scene.

Route to Dover Docks via A20 only, this route will be congested and to expect delays. Please check for traffic updates before travelling.
