Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Gray Close in Hawkinge, Folkestone, after a car fire spread to a residential garage.

Four fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.

Several properties in the immediate area were evacuated as a precaution, and residents were able to return home after the scene was made safe.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is not yet known.
