People living in the surrounding area are no longer advised to avoid the area.

Crew made good progress dampening down hot spots and all remaining hay has been fully extinguished.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause is not yet known.

People living near to a barn fire in Hope Lane, New Romney, are no longer advised to close windows and doors but members of the public are asked to avoid the area while crews continue to dampen down any remaining hotspots.

Firefighters are continuing to dampen down hay bales at the scene of a barn fire in Hope Lane, New Romney. 

Due to smoke still coming from the incident, people living or working nearby are advised to keep windows and doors closed. 

No injuries have been reported, and the cause is not yet known.

Crew remains at the scene and are continuing to dampen down to ensure the site is safe.
