Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a vehicle alight by Junction 1 of the M2.
Two fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
There are no reported injuries and the cause is believed to be accidental.
