Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a lorry alight on the M20 between junctions 6 and 7 near Maidstone.
Three fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended, and crews, wearing breathing apparatus used a hose-reel jet to extinguish the fire.
There are no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
