Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a waste vehicle alight in Penenden Heath, Maidstone.
Two fire engines attended the scene in Woodlands Close, where crews have used hose reel jets and drag rakes to extinguish the fire.
No injuries have been reported, and the cause is not yet known.
