People living or travelling near Darnley Road, Rochester are no longer being advised to close their windows and doors.

Two fire engines remain in attendance whilst crews dampen down the area.

Crews are currently responding to vegetation alight in Darnley Road, Rochester.

Four fire engines are currently in attendance, and crews are using main jets and hose-reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Crews are advising people living in the area to close their windows and doors due to heavy smoke in the area.
