Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a vehicle alight on the M2 London-bound, between Junction 3 and 2, near to Rochester.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews extinguished the fire using hose reel jets.
No injuries have been reported, and the is cause is not yet known.
