Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a vehicle alight on the M25, near Sevenoaks.
Three fire engines attended and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames and dampen down the scene.
There are no reported injuries and the cause is believed to be overheated breaks.
