Update at 3.45pm on 5 January 2024: 

Firefighting operations are now complete at a fire involving a crane lorry on the M20 coastbound, between Junction 1 for the Swanley Interchange and Junction 2 for Wrotham. 

Four fire engines and a foam united attended the incident, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets. 

No injuries were reported. 

Drivers are advised to check for traffic updates before travelling towards the affected area.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is responding to a fire involving a crane lorry on the M20 coastbound, between Junction 1 for the Swanley Interchange and Junction 2 for Wrotham. 

Three fire engines are in attendance and crews wearing breathing apparatus are working to extinguish the fire. 

No injuries have been reported.
