Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car alight on the A299, by Saint Nicholas-at-Wade, near Birchington.
Two fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
There are no reported injuries and the cause is unknown.
