Tunbridge Wells
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of an excavator alight on Halls Hole Road, Tunbridge Wells.
Two fire engines attended and crews used main jet hoses to extinguish the fire.
There are no reported injuries. The cause is believed to be accidental and is linked to a bonfire burning too close to the vehicle.
Crews are reminding everyone that if you’re planning a bonfire this Autumn:
- Stay with the bonfire at all times
- Keep it to a manageable size – away from greenery and property
- Always keep a means of extinguishing close to hand – like a bucket of water or a hose
