Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Barn fire in Charing
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire involving a barn and a large pile of seasoned wood on a farm in Hart Hill, Charing. Crews arrived to find the barn and wood pile well alight. Firefighters used hose reel jets and main jets to tackle the fire. They also required the support of the Technical Rescue Team and the Bobcat to help drag out the burning wood to enable the crews to gain access to the seat of the fire to contain and extinguish it. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the blaze isn't known at this stage.
