Roof fire in Herne Bay
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a fire involving the roof and wood panel boards of a house in Charles Street, Herne Bay. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and water from a hydrant to extinguish the blaze and a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots and fire spread. There were no casualties and the cause is not yet known.
