Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Road crash near Sittingbourne
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a road crash involving a vehicle that ended up in the garden of a property. One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release another occupant of the vehicle, who was transferred into the care of paramedics. Two other people were treated by paramedics. Crews made the scene safe.     
 
KENT POLICE STATEMENT: 
Kent Police received a report of a collision involving two cars at 10.01pm on Thursday 18 May 2017. 
Officers, Secamb and Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene in London Road, Sittingbourne. One person died at the scene. Three people were taken to hospital. 
The road was closed until around 7am on Friday 19 May. 
Work is ongoing to repair a power cable which was damaged during the collision.
