Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Corn field fire near Dartford
Incident details
UPDATE 7.15pm 
Around 25 firefighters attended a field of standing crop that was alight on a farm in Bean Lane, Dartford. Crews worked hard in very hot conditions to quickly bring the blaze under control, using hose reels, flexi packs, beaters and a fire fogging unit. Crews left the scene just before 5.30pm. 
 
Kent Fire and Rescue Service is at the scene of a fire involving a large field of corn in Bean Lane, Bean near Dartford. Five fire engines have been sent to the scene to tackle the blaze. More to follow.
