Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Birchington bungalow fire
Incident details
UPDATE 12.45pm 
Fire crews have been withdrawn from the property and continued to fight the blaze externally from ladders and flat roofs of surrounding garages. They are carrying out salvage and a Red Cross vehicle has also been sent to provide emotional and practical support to the residents. 
The cause of the fire is not yet known but is not believed to be connected to the solar panels. 
Kent Fire and Rescue Service is responding to a fire in the roof of a detached bungalow in Cunningham Crescent, Birchington. Around 20 firefighters and four fire engines have been sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus, are tackling the blaze using main jets, hose reels and a thermal imaging camera. The roof and solar panels are fully involved in fire. 
There are no reports of any casualties and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
