Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Fire in disused Borstal school building
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a disused school in Borstal Street, Rochester around 9.10pm. They arrived to find a small amount of smoke coming from a vent at roof height. After gaining access to the building, crews discovered a small fire in the main hall, which had smoke logged the building. 
 
A hose reel jet, short extension ladder and thermal imaging camera were used to tackle the fire.
