Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Large wooden chalet fire on Sheppey
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire involving a large wooden chalet in Warden Bay Road in Leysdown on Sea on the Isle of Sheppey. On arrival crews were faced with a well established fire. Using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets crews managed to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire isn't known at this stage. The chalet suffered minor fire  and water damage due to the quick firefighting tactics, but it suffered extensive smoke damage.
