Incident
Barge alight - Faversham
Incident details
Around 25 firefighters dealt with a fire aboard an 80ft Thames barge at Iron Wharf, Faversham. Crews tackled the blaze with two high-pressure hose reel jets and a fog spike system which allows firefighters to get water on to fires in closed compartments.

Two people were treated by crews for the effects of breathing in smoke but did not require hospital treatment. The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
