Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Bedroom fire in Gravesend
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in the bedroom of a flat in Haynes Road, Gravesend. Crews arrived to find the occupant of the property outside. Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters entered the property, they used a hose reel jet, main jet and a ventalation fan to extinguish the blaze. The Red Cross Volunteers were mobilised to provide welfare and emotional support to the occupant of the property. The cause of the fire isn't known at this stage.
