Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Smoke logging to Canterbury shop
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a ground floor shop in Wincheap at 6.17pm, which was heavily smoke logged with the smoke detector sounding. Crews went into the building in breathing apparatus, hose reel and thermal imaging camera. They discovered a pellet cooker, which was producing a large volume of smoke, causing heat damage to the cooker. 
 
Two fire engines attended along with Kent Police for traffic control purposes.
