Incident
Small fire at house in Folkestone
Incident details
Firefighters were called to Park Farm Road, Folkestone following reports of some smoke in the loft space of a house. Crews investigated the source of the smoke, using small tools and a reciprocating saw to cut away some of the bathroom floor, living room ceiling and false chimney breast. Crews exposed and extinguish a small fire using a hose reel. It is believed that conducted heat from the metal flue of a wood-burning stove set fire to wooden beam behind a stud wall. Crews made the scene safe and remained on the scene to liaise with a wood burning stove engineer.
