Incident
House fire in East Peckham
Incident details
Firefighters attended a fire in the lounge of a house in Strettit Gardens, East Peckham. The fire is thought to have been caused by the heat from refracted sunlight shining on to a windowsill from a glass ornament, spreading to curtains. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check the fire was out and small tools to expose hotspots. A man received burned to his hands attempting to remove the curtains, but did not require an ambulance.
