Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Woman cut free from car after crash near Betteshanger
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a crash on the A256 near Betteshanger. On arrival crews found a car on its side in the middle of a roundabout near Barville Road. A woman was trapped by her injuries. Crews used hydraulic cutting gear to remove the roof of the vehicle and release the woman into the care of SECAmb paramedics. Kent Police were on scene to manage traffic. Crews made the scene safe. 
 
It's believed there was heavy fog in the area at the time of crash and firefighters have urged drivers to remember to drive to the conditions of the road and to keep speeds down - especially in think fog.
