Firefighters assist resident on house boat in Hoo
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to assist a resident who woke to find herself knee deep in water on her house boat sometime 3.40am. 
 
Firefighters used a light portable pump to remove the water, which damaged some of the bedroom contents. They restored the power and helped the owner set up her own electric pump before handing duty of care over, leaving the houseboat at around 7.15am.
