Incident
Kitchen fire at pub restaurant - Queenborough, Isle of Sheppey
Incident details
KFRS was called at 12.05pm to deal with a fire in the commercial kitchen of a premises in Neats Court Retail Park, Queenborough.

Due to the oil-based nature of the fire, crews used fire blankets to smother the flames rather than water or foam which would cause considerably more damage to the building. All utilities were isolated and crews have also ventilated the property of smoke and fumes.

There are no reports of any injuries to either members of the public or employees. Firefighting operations ceased at 13:34 although fire engines remained on the scene while the crews put away all their equipment and make the scene safe to be handed over to the business owner.
