Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Incident
Two women freed after crash - Brookland, Romney Marsh
Incident details
Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment including cutters, spreaders and a dashboard ram to free two women who had become trapped in their vehicles after a collision on the Rye Road, Brookland, Romney Marsh. 
 
Crews worked closely with paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to create space for the casualties to be treated for their injuries before they were removed to waiting ambulances for transport to hospital.
