Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Outbuilding fire - Canterbury
Incident details
Firefighters were called to reports of an outbuilding alight in Sturry Road, Canterbury, near Kingsmead roundabout. Upon arrival crews discovered the building fully involved in the fire, put on breathing apparatus and set about tackling the blaze using a main hose jet. 
 
A public 'warn and inform' message requesting local residents keep windows and doors closed was sent via social media. 
 
The fire was extinguished by 2am, however crews remain making the scene safe and packing away their equipment.
